Baumann Landscaping History

Baumann's Lawn and Landscape may have been established in 1988, but University of Maryland graduate Rick Baumann, the founder, began his business long before it became incorporated.

When Rick was 8 years old, he delivered newspapers to his neighbors in the College Park area.  Soon enough his neighbors began to ask if he would mow their lawn too - and a business was born.
 
A family business in every way, in 1995 Rick's younger brother Matt joined the Baumann Lawn and Landscape team after also completing his degree at the University of Maryland where he also pitched for the baseball team.
 
In the years since, Baumann has grown into one of the DC/MD area's most reputable and trusted source for commercial and residential lawn care and maintenance.  With a fleet of trucks and equipment and a professional staff, Baumann's Lawn and Landscape is the local industry standard.
